This is a super clean and zingy coffee. Citrusy kumquat acidity pairs perfectly with juicy red berries.

We paid $3.60 per lb.* for this coffee which is 157.1% more than the Fair Trade price and 223.2% more than the average C Price for 2020.

*This was the price paid to producers before any shipping, haulage, storage and export/import fees.

This nano-lot is exclusive to Abstract and was specially prepared by The Coffee Gardens field and processing manager, Job Namugowa, as an experiment.

The Processing

Instead of pulping and fermenting the coffee as normal, he decided to see what would happen if he fermented it first as a cherry for 70 hours before pulping and fermenting again. Due to the space required for the extra fermentation he could only produce an extremely small nano-lot, totalling only 10kg. So we bought it all and named the nano-lot after Job in recognition of his incredible work at The Coffee Gardens, not just with this Lot, but every one he works on.
