This is a beautiful, clean cup. Flavours of black tea, lychee and jasmine combine perfectly alongside a lovely honey sweetness.

We paid $15.88 per lb.* for this coffee which is 1034.3% more than the Fair Trade price and 837.9% more than the average C Price for 2021.

*This was the price paid to producers before any shipping, haulage, storage and export/import fees.

El Equimite is a fully organic and biodynamic coffee farm in the Veracruz region of Mexico. Being biodynamic means the farm is considered to be an autonomous self sufficient environment and is able to produce all the resources it needs to thrive by itself. The farm has it’s own lab where they map out cup quality according to varietal and process to see which combinations are best suited to the ecosystem of the farm.

The Processing

The Geisha for this microlot went through a honey process, after harvest it was depulped but then dried without washing. This has created a beautiful final cup that recently placed 12th in the 2021 Mexican Cup of Excellence.
