A super fruity natural lot from Basha's small farm in Bombe Village, Ethiopia. This is an absolute fruit bomb of a coffee. Full of juicy, tropical fruit flavours of pineapple, mango and plum.

We paid $4.00 per lb.* for this coffee which is 185.7% more than the Fair Trade price and 259.1% more than the average C Price for 2020.

*This was the price paid to producers before any shipping, haulage, storage and export/import fees.

Basha and his wife and two children own a 3 hectare coffee farm in Bombe Village, Bensa, Sidama. He grows the 74160 varietal, which he procured through the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre.  This varietal was selected from wild plants in the Metu-Bishari forest in the Illuababora zone of Western Ethiopia and is famed for its very unique flavour notes.

The Processing

Basha’s coffee grows under the shade of native trees in a forest and he picks and processes all of his coffee himself, with the help of his family. Once picked, the cherries are placed on raised beds at his family home to dry for around one month.
